Certified Energy Auditors and Managers

The centre organized two certification courses on 11-17 September 2007; certified energy auditor (cea) and certified energy manager (cem) courses. The lecturers were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ugur Atikol, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Dagbasi and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fuat Egelioglu. The courses were delivered in the building of the mechanical ENG. Department, where nine mechanical engineers, one electrical engineer, one civil engineer and one architect successfully completed the training. A certificate ceremony was organized in Anit Restaurant.  

Associate Prof. Dr. Ugur Atikol, Director of Energy Research Centre, said that it is possible to increase the profitability of the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) if they adopted a more energy-efficient strategy in their operations. He also pointed out that using energy more efficiently would not only improve the country's economy but also cause a reduction in  emissions and help to create a more sustainable environment.
