For engineers and energy specialists
Free courses by experts, aiming to rapidly transfer business, marketing, communication and managerial skills and knowledge to potential ESCOs (Energy Services Companies) and other energy specialists are scheduled to start in January 2007. The courses are organized by the Core International Inc. who is implementing the Resource Efficiency Achievement Project (REAP) in Cyprus which is funded by USAID. There are nine courses on the agenda, the first two of which are to be delivered by EMU Energy Research Centre. The courses are as follows:
- Renewable Energy Systems
- State – of – the – art energy systems
- Financial Analysis and cost benefit analysis of energy saving measures
- Financing the costs of energy audits and energy efficiency projects
- Energy services contacts
- Public relations for marketing energy efficiency services
- Risk mitigation approaches to minimizing project and business risks
- Formal proposal and report writing
- Public participation and consumer awareness in energy efficiency
