Future Energy Managers Educated

A new technical elective course, "Introduction  to Energy Management" was introduced in fall 2007- 2008 semestre. The course will start with the Fondamental of energy, continue energy audit principles and how to write an energy audit report. A description of mechanical and electrical systems will be followed by the energy efficiency opportunities. Energy efficiency in buildings with an emphasis on passive and active solar energy use will also be introduced.

 Term project work will be assigned on  energy audit of a facility ( for engineering students) or  energy efficient design of buildings ( for architecture students).

 The course instructor is Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ugur Atikol who is a certified energy auditor (cea).
